Key Largo Fishing Report September 3

Hurricane Dorian missed the Florida Keys.  It is business as usual, we received zero damage. Hurricane Dorian blew up quickly over the Bahamas. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bahamian people.  On the Key Largo fishing center stage is solid bite of Mahi Mahi(dolphin or dorado) with Atlantic Sailfish mixed in.   Some days the Mahi Mahi are more abundant than others, but on an average clients are catching between 10-20 Mahi Mahi per trip aboard Good Karma on 3/4 day offshore charters.

Fishing Key Largo; Offshore and on the Reef Report

Fishing Key Largo, Florida. The seas off of Key Largo, Tavernier and Islamorada have been fairly calm for early  June.  However, we are starting to feel the “El Nino 2019” summer heat in the air.  The water temperature has crossed into the high 80’s and is even creeping into the low 90’s.  In my opinion conditions couldn’t be better, the hotter it gets the better the fishing gets.
